Why Would You Want To Install Covert GPS Vehicle Tracking Systems?

GPS tracking devices seem to be everywhere today and with improvements in technology they are no longer the domain of only the super-rich, most people today can afford to fit a covert GPS vehicle tracking device.

The sale of covert GPS vehicle tracking systems, and the services of companies that provide specialist covert vehicle tracking, are increasing year on year, but why does anyone want to fit one of these devices or employ a specialist company to track their vehicles?

It’s All About Cheating!

Cheating spouses and cheating employees are the two main reasons that covert GPS vehicle tracking devices are fitted.

Cheating Spouse

If you think your wife or girlfriend is cheating on you (and it is more men than women who make use of these systems/services), then from as little as a couple of hundred dollars you can install a do it yourself GPS tracking system and monitor every movement their vehicle makes anywhere in the world. Think about that…if your spouse is acting suspiciously, you can know if he/she is not at work when they say they are, exactly where their car is parked when they are on a ‘night out with the guys/girls’, or that their vehicle is parked outside a motel across town for the entire afternoon - and you can do this for not much more than the cost of a cell phone.

One word of caution though - people are not happy when they find out that covert GPS vehicle tracking systems have been place in their cars any many relationships, where the spouse wasn’t cheating, have ended because of trust issues, so think it over carefully before you decide to go ahead with this - you have been warned!

Cheating Employees

Hands up if you’ve never taken an extended lunch break or stopped off to do some personal stuff while you have been at work…just as I thought, not many of you!

Amazing as it might seem, many companies consider this to be theft. Not theft of anything tangible like stationery or stock, but theft of time - time that the company is paying you for. If an employee regularly says they are working 10 hour days, but in reality they are taking a extra hour for lunch and spending an hour at the gym each afternoon, they are stealing 20% of their pay each month, and that could cost a company thousands of extra dollars each month if many employees are doing this.

If you look at the facts this way, it’s no surprise that many companies are employing GPS tracking fleet management specialists to crack down on this type of behaviour. A GPS fleet tracking system will be a substantial investment for a lot of companies, but if they have sales people all over the country, and only 10% of those people are ‘cheating’, the system would pay for itself in 6 to 12 months. If a vehicle is stolen, the system will probably pay for itself pretty much right away when the vehicle is recovered.
